Rights to privacy
Protecting your rights to privacy is important to us and in handling personal information we will comply with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Collection of personal information
We only collect personal information that we believe is necessary for us to carry on our business. The kind of personal information we may collect includes details such as name, organisation, address, contact numbers, email address, websites and specific areas of interest to you. In some circumstances, we may also hold other personal information provided by you.
The personal information we collect is usually from information you give us, from third parties (such as people you deal with) and other publicly available sources.

We collect personal information in order to be able to meet our obligations to our clients, to enable us to carry on our business and to meet other legal obligations.

We use personal information primarily to provide accounting and business services to you and our clients. We may also use this information to promote and market services that may be of interest to you and our clients and to generally better manage our relationship with clients.

In the course of carrying out our business we may disclose your personal information for any purpose authorized by you; to our clients; to regulatory authorities; to other advisors; internally to our team and where required by law.

With all personal information we collect every reasonable step is taken to ensure that this information is protected against misuse; loss; unauthorized access; reproduction and disclosure. Our team members who have access to your personal information are obliged to keep it confidential.

Access to your personal information
Under the Act, you have the right to access your personal information that is collected and held by us. If at any time you would like to access the personal information about you that we hold please contact us.
If your personal information is out-of-date or incorrect, you may inform us of this and we will correct it for you.
All requests for access or amendments to personal information will be treated seriously; will be dealt with promptly and in a confidential manner; and will not effect your existing obligations or effect the commercial arrangements between you and us.
To obtain access or to amend your personal information, you will have to provide proof of identity. This is necessary to ensure that personal information is provided only to the correct individuals and that the privacy of others is protected.
We will take all reasonable steps to provide access to your personal information within 30 days from your request.

Complaints procedure
If at any time you are not satisfied with our handling of your personal information, you may lodge a complaint with us using the contact details shown below. If the complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you are entitled to lodge a complaint with the Federal Privacy Commissioner.
